Weblog, what weblog?

Believe it or not, I totally had forgotten about my weblog! I hadn’t checked it for a whole week and then tonight when I was looking for the title of a book I remembered… ooh, yeah, my weblog!
However it was no loss to anyone as I didn’t read anything this week. Can you imagine it… a whole week gone without reading? Well not completely, but almost!
The not complete part comes from my reading “The nice girls don’t have Fangs” by Molly Harper. It is the story of Jane, a small town librarian and how in a day her whole life gets screwed up. Yes, you guessed right, she gets fired from her job, then is shot at and dies and then is turned into a vampire all in the first three chapters. The rest of the story is the funny account of how she adjusts and what kind of troubles she is facing in her new life (unlife… ummm, death?...ok, what about “her new existence”?… yeah, that works!). First is her controlling mother and then her grabby greedy sister and her crazy best friend and after that a whole new group of undead friends…
I liked the witty narrative of this story and I very well could relate to Jane’s problems with her parents. As I’m going to see my own sweet and controlling mother in less than a week let’s not dwell on the issue! Just kidding! I haven’t seen any of my family in a very long time and I'm looking forward to this trip. I’m very excited!

I keep adding to my “on hold” list in the library but non of the books are yet available for pick up and with my trip coming this weekend I don’t know what will happen to my books! Some sympathy please!

By the way I'll be gone a month and if I don't read anything new, there won't be a post!
